Mike provides driving lessons in Buxton and the High peak area, and is also happy to teach students from further a field who wish to take their practical test in Buxton.

In addition to driving lessons for new drivers he also offers refresher courses for drivers who have passed their test but for one reason or another have not driven for some time or have lost confidence in driving perhaps from having an accident or long term illness.

Mike offers instruction to suit the individual, ranging from one hour each week to intensive block courses.  Mike will pick up/drop off at your home, school, college, your place of work or any other reasonable location.

He uses modern proven teaching methods to help you pass your test.  Each lesson will be tailored to your own individual needs ensuring that you learn to drive in a safe confident manner.

Nervous drivers and older drivers can be assured that Mike is very patient and will proceed at a pace that you are happy with.

In order to start driving lessons you must be at least 17 years old and have a provisional driving licence.  You can apply for your provisional licence at the Post Office up to 2 months before your 17th birthday.  You must bring your provisional licence with you on your first lesson for Mike to verify before your lesson commences.  Mike will be happy to take bookings in advance of your birthday especially if you would like to have your first lesson on your birthday.

PASS PLUS

For the newly qualified driver Mike offers the "Pass Plus" which may enable you to claim a discount on your car insurance.

It also aims to give new drivers the extra confidence and skills needed to drive safely in areas that are not covered by the practical driving test such as motorways.

The big plus in "pass plus" being that there is no extra test to take as pass plus is assessed by your driving instructor and upon satisfactory completion of the course a certificate will be issued from the Driving Standards Agency which you can show to your insurer.
